Clinical Supervision
I provide clinical supervision to mental health nurses and community workers. I offer a safe space for critical self-reflection and authentic exploration of all aspects of professional practice. I not only bring my 10+ years of front-line mental health nursing and homeless outreach experience to my supervision practice, but I also infuse my supervision style with my Conversational Model of psychotherapy skills, and trauma informed care principles, creating an emotionally safe and intellectually stimulating opportunity for workers to reflect and grow professionally.
I am a strong advocate for regular reflective/clinical supervision for workers in the human services sectors where high numbers of people who have experienced trauma access under-resourced systems and interact with staff who are under enormous pressure. Ongoing regular reflective/clinical supervision, which ideally occurs every month, is a key component of being a trauma informed practitioner, as it minimises the chances of workers developing burnout, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma. Regular supervision promotes effective and ethical practice, and therefore leads to better outcomes for clients.
Supervisees usually describe feeling a sense of relief, enhanced self awareness, and confidence. Regular reflective/clinical supervision is vital for workers at all levels in community organisations, mental health services, AOD services, specialist homelessness services, criminal justice services, community legal centres, housing and welfare. I offer individual and group supervision to workers in these diverse settings.
Fees for reflective/clinical Supervision
